In response to a request from the Indian Embassy in Tashkent, the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided details about studying medicine at Uzbek universities. Uzbekistan fulfils n Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations of 2021.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the duration of the educational field of General Medicine is 6 years.
Indian students are fully enrolled in 6-year “Therapeutic Work” program. The 6-year MBBS program meets all the requirements established by the National Medical Commission of India (duration of training, medium of instruction and 12-month period allotted for practice).
After completing MBBS studies in, the graduate will have the right to practice medicine in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan subject to the licensing exam requirements.
Medical insurance is of critical importance in Uzbekistan.
