PTE Core is very similar to PTE Academic but the only difference is that it is fully computer based. It generally involves more day-to-day English speaking skills like those we use in common-day practice. PTE Core has 19 question types to test your English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Scores are based on the complexity of the question. Your overall score is graded between 10 and 90.
PTE Academic Exam Scoring Criteria
PTE academic scores range from 10 to 90 on a granular scale measured against the Global Scale of English. Using this scale, students are assigned an overall score that provides a precise evaluation of their proficiency in English. Your overall test score is determined by how well you perform throughout the exam.
