The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is the screening test for Foreign Medical Graduates, It was first introduced in 2002 through the ‘Screening Test Regulations 2002’. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) India conducts the FMG Examination twice a year. Indian students who have completed their MBBS abroad in a country which is approved by the Indian Embassy to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding that MBBS degree is located can apply for FMGE exam provided that the result of the final examination for the MBBS course has been declared on or before the prescribed cut-off date for that particular session of FMG Examination
