(a) (i) Duration: The Minimum duration of the MBBS Abroad course studies must be fifty-four months i.e. 4.5 years.

(iii) Medium of Instruction: The full MBBS Abroad course abroad must be taught in English language only.

(d) To practice medicine in India, an MBBS student from abroad must pass the National Exit Test or the FMGE screening test.
FMGE Screening Test for MBBS Abroad Students
An Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India who possesses an MBBS Abroad degree and is desirous of getting permanent registration or license to practice medicine in India has to qualify for a screening test (FMGE or NExT) conducted by the NMC for that purpose.
Eligibility criteria to appear in the FMGE/NExT Screening Test:
