Medical Social Institute of Tajikistan - Founded in 2020, It is a Private Medical School located in Dushanbe. Many Indian students are currently studying MBBS in this institute.

Tajik National University Faculty of Medicine - founded in 1947, it is a public university having its medical faculty started imparting medical education in the year 2012. The Embassy of India, Dushanbe issued an advisory for Indian students seeking admission in Tajik Medical Institutions in accordance with NMC’s Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations of 2021: The advisory states that:

• Medical Social Institute of Tajikistan (MSIT) has been approved by World Health Organization. Indian students can take admission in MSIT and can appear in screening test all over the world including PDMC, NMC USMLE, PLAB etc.
• The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan has informed that the medical education of Tajikistan has been adapted to international standards of medical education. In particular, the education of State educational institution “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” is in accordance with the requirements of the National Medical Council of the Republic of India from November 18, 2021
• The duration of education at the bachelor’s level in the field of medicine is 6 years including 1 year internship.
• Upon completion of the bachelor’s degree and passing the final exam, a student is admitted to the 12-month internship program.
• At the end of the internship program, Indian students will get medical doctor degree without any national exam.
